Fire Alarm Installer needed at SourceLink Communications! 3-5 years' experience in Installation and Programming of Fire Alarm Systems, to include Silent Knight, Fire Lite and comparable Intelligent Fire Alarm Systems.
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with background in Fire Alarm installation and programming to support our growing branch located in Central Florida. If you are looking to take on a new challenge and steer the ship for an ever-growing organization, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Programming of Silent Knight, Fire-Lite and comparable Intelligent Fire Alarm Systems.
- Be able to work independently and run a crew of installation technicians.
- Produce as-builts on completion of projects.
- Ensure all work meets company quality and safety compliance.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with all local and state codes, standards, industry standards and regulations.
- Have great communication skills both verbal and written.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Fire Systems installation and programming.
- FASA/BASA Certified in good standing or ability to obtain in the first 30 days.
- Minimum NICET II or higher
- Knowledge of code requirements, NFPA, Life Safety, NEC.
- Comprehensive knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints, RFIs, RFPs, schedules and technical documents.
- Strong understanding of low voltage wiring and ability to interpret wiring diagrams for troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
- Fire Alarm industry experience.
- Experience in small to large projects.
- AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit or other design/mapping software is a plus.
Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- FASA/BASA Obtained within 30 days
- OSHA 10/30 Preferred or willing to obtain within first 90 days.
