We are seeking a Deburr/Burr Hand who understands the craft of machining in aviation repair for day Shift-6am-2:30pm. This perfect for an individual looking for a career in the trades from the ground up as this would be an entry level position, one who is mechanically inclined, open to a machine shop environment, and is curious about repairing aircraft parts.


Repairtech International, Inc, an FAA state of the art repair station providing expertise to clients around the world utilizing our expertise in repair design development for mechanical repairs to aircraft parts for commercial and military aviation industries. We are low production however attention to detail and the ability to cross train is definitely a requirement.

ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED (10-15 mile radius of 91406)


Responsibilities Include:

  • Read blue prints and routers per customer specs.
  • Use measuring tools to measure all parts and correct tools to perform job tasks.
  • Operate the following machines and processes; standard operating procedure for washing part and pencil grinder in order to de-burr edges
  • Sand Blaster
  • Oven procedure
  • Use fixtures prior to gluing parts together
  • Apply Dichromate and various protective coatings (loctite, etc.)
  • Apply Chemfilm procedure
  • Strip old Anodize
  • Mixing paints
  • Air spray gun in order to paint parts
  • Angle Grinder in order to polish parts
  • Install silicone rubber
  • Remove dents from rebuilt parts
  • Must independently know how to complete paint and mask parts per customer specs.
  • Check all de-burring work and sign off for final inspection.
  • Clean and maintain work station and shop

Requirements:

  • Skilled with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Must read blue prints and routers
  • Effectively communicate in English; written, reading, and verbal skills
  • Flexible, eager to learn and willing to be crossed trained

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma and/or GED.
  • Exposed to manufacturing/machine shop/Aviation environments.
