We are looking for technicians to perform service, installation and preventative maintenance on all types of commercial HVAC, refrigeration and ice machines. Technicians are expected to be able to test components, check for leaks, operate and read gauges, read wiring diagrams, diagnose electrical and mechanical defects, reclaim refrigerant and perform mechanical repairs. We also repair air handling equipment such as kitchen exhaust hoods.
Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: Proven track record as a Journeyman in the HVAC and Refrigeration trade.
Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to read schematics/wiring diagrams and use specialized diagnostic tools.
Commercial Knowledge: Extensive experience with commercial-grade refrigeration, ice machines, and air handling units.
Certifications: HVAC certification for refrigerant handling is required.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and a professional demeanor suitable for face-to-face client interaction.
Reliability: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (for your take-home van).
As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the service, installation, and preventative maintenance of a wide array of commercial equipment. Your daily tasks will include:
Diagnostic Mastery: Testing components, checking for leaks, operating gauges, and reading wiring diagrams to pinpoint issues.
Repair & Installation: Diagnosing and fixing electrical and mechanical defects across commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and ice machines.
Specialized Systems: Maintaining and repairing air handling equipment, including kitchen exhaust hoods.
Compliance: Safely reclaiming refrigerant and ensuring all repairs meet industry standards and safety regulations.
Client Relations: Acting as a professional representative of FD Pierce Company while managing on-site client needs.
