Grose and Manz Builders is growing and looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day on-site project operations and helping ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily on-site construction activity from start to finish
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, schedules, inspections, and material testing
- Monitor jobsite quality, safety, and security measures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Assist with permitting and brand approval processes when needed
- Maintain a full understanding of project documents including drawings, specifications, submittals, soils reports, subcontracts, and purchase orders
- Stay current on applicable construction codes and jobsite requirements
- Lead direct reports and ensure company processes are followed
- Prepare or assist with daily reports, two-week lookaheads, and project forecasting
- Hold and manage job progress meetings and safety meetings
- Assist in reviewing submittals as requested
- Travel as needed based on project location
- Always represent the company and its clients professionally and in their best interest
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or similar construction field leadership role
- Experience managing commercial construction projects preferred
- Strong understanding of scheduling, subcontractor coordination, inspections, and site safety
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of construction codes and permitting processes
- Must be willing to travel when required
- OSHA 30 certification required, or ability to obtain and maintain it
