Job Description
The City of Eugene City Attorney's Office is seeking an Assistant City Attorney responsible for focusing on providing legal services with a focus on civil litigation.
Salary:
Assistant City Attorney 1: $97,614.40 - $131,809 Annually
Assistant City Attorney 2: $132,059.20 - $178,297.60 Annually
The City of Eugene determines starting pay within the range based on relevant education and experience as provided by the applicant in their application materials

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Assistant City Attorney 1
Experience:
Some experience in the practice of civil defense law, preferably in Oregon.
Training:
Juris doctor degree from an accredited law school. A judicial clerkship after graduation is desirable.
Assistant City Attorney 2
Experience:
Five years of increasingly responsible experience in the practice of civil defense law, preferably in a governmental setting.
Admitted to practice law as a member of the Oregon State Bar or expect to be admitted within six (6) months of appointment to position.
Training:
Juris doctor degree from an accredited law school. A judicial clerkship after graduation is desirable
License or Certificates:
Admission to the Bar of the State of Oregon; admission to practice law before State of Oregon courts within six months of hire.
Completion of on-going continuing legal education in accordance with the requirements of the State Bar.
Possession of or ability to obtain, and maintain an appropriate, valid Oregon driver's license.
Background:
Must pass a background check and have the ability to obtain a CJIS level 3 certification within 90 days of hire.
