Job Duties: Supervise actuarial projects, provide supervision and coaching to Actuarial Assistants, actuarial support, and Actuarial Interns in performing mathematical and financial calculations. Make recommendations to upper management on in-force business financial product activities based on attribution analysis. Responsible for review and sign off mathematical and financial calculations of actuarial assistants. Develop and improve processes for Actuarial Assistant team. Conduct actuarial and mathematical analysis for the strategic objectives of the Actuarial Department and additional departments within Security Benefit to support actuarial initiatives. Compute and analyze data, using statistical formulas, and perform mathematical, actuarial, and financial computations for policyholder reserves. Run models via actuarial software systems. Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or directly related field. Minimum Experience Requirement: 2 years experience conducting actuarial analysis in the insurance industry. Must have passed at least 4 actuarial exams.
