Systems Engineer

ENGINEERING SR ENGINEER, DEVELOPMENT QUALITY: St. Jude Medical, an Abbott Labs Co., in Sylmar, CA. Resp for design ctrl processes & documentation for new product commercialization & product changes. Bachelors or foreign equiv in Industrial Eng, Mfg Eng, Mech Eng or in rltd eng or tech fld of study w/ min. 5 yrs of progressive pro quality eng exp. Alternatively will accept Masters w/ min. 3 yrs of pro quality eng exp. Must possess min. 3 yrs of pro exp in: (i) design ctrl procedures, verification & risk mgmt. & continuous improvement in accordance w/ Quality Mgmt System (QMS); (ii) Quality Engineering deliverables incl Verification & Validation (V&V) strategies, test plans (manual & automated), test scripts (manual & automated), incl IQ/OQ/PQ protocols; (iii) ensuring full traceability btwn user needs, design inputs, risk ctrls & verification/validation outcomes using requirements mgmt tools; (iv) CAPA & FMEAs incl. Design FMEAs (DFMEAs) & Process FMEAs (PFMEAs); (v) Six Sigma &/or Kaizen. Employer will accept any suitable combo of education, training, or exp. An EOE. 40 hrs/wk. $140,774 - $180,000/year.
