FULL TIME SANITATION LABORER WITH CDL 
SANITATION

The City of Ashtabula is seeking applications for the position of Full Laborer with C D L , in the City of Ashtabula Sanitation Department .

General Statement of Duties:
A laborer primarily collects refuse along waste collection routes and transports waste to a transfer station and/or landfill. Refuse collection and recycling duties are added as necessary.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lift garbage bags and/or cans into garbage truck
- Pick up yard waste and tree limbs
- Assist in various waste recycling activities
- Able to carry out written and verbal orders efficiently
- Able to operate power tools as needed
- Lift furniture, tires and waste materials from public and private property
- Collect litter from right-of-way and public areas
- Lifting and delivery of heavy materials to job sites
- Clean job sites and public property with periodic supervision of others
- Periodic upgrade to equipment operators position

All applicants must currently possess a State of Ohio Class B Ohio Commercial Drivers License , pass a pre - employment drug screen and background check .  A copy of the job description is available upon request of application.
