ELECTRICAL/CONTROL SYSTEM TECHNICIAN

Job Description

OREGON TECH is excited to announce an opening for an Electrical/Control System Technician in our Facilities Services division based in Klamath Falls, OR. This is a full-time position, providing an attractive salary between $6,014 and $8,392 per month.

Position Summary

In your role as the Electrical/Control System Technician, you will be tasked with the essential duties of maintaining, modifying, repairing, and replacing electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, and controls present throughout the campus. A supervising electrical license is a prerequisite as this position carries the legal obligation to ensure compliance with the NEC and Oregon electrical codes. In addition to hands-on work, you will engage in planning, designing, estimating, procuring required materials, and overseeing new installations as well as renovations. Furthermore, you will lead and supervise maintenance teams in executing electrical maintenance tasks effectively. Obtaining and signing for electrical permits also falls within your responsibilities to ensure standards are upheld.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the classification requirement of having at least two years of journey-level experience in the realms of planning, designing, installing, and maintaining electrical control and distribution systems as well as pneumatic electronics. It is essential to hold one of the following Oregon Electrician’s Licenses relevant to the duties expected: either the General Supervising Electrician License or the General Journeyman Electrician License.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Salary/Compensation: $6,014 - $8,392 per month
