Nightclub Manager:

 

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic, high-energy Nightclub Manager to lead our team and oversee all aspects of our nightlife operations. You will be responsible for creating an electric atmosphere, ensuring the safety of our guests, and maximizing bar profitability. The ideal candidate is a "night owl" with a sharp eye for detail, a passion for the music/entertainment industry, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Floor Management: Direct the flow of the "front of house," including VIP/Bottle Service, door entry/ID checks, and bar speed of service.
  • Staff Leadership: Manage a diverse team of bartenders, barbacks, servers, and security personnel. Handle pre-shift briefings to set the night's energy and goals.
  • VIP & Reservations: Oversee the VIP table booking system and ensure high-net-worth guests receive premium service to drive "bottle service" revenue.
  • Security & Safety: Work closely with the security team to maintain a safe environment, manage crowd control, and strictly enforce local liquor laws and age verification.
  • Promotion & Programming: Coordinate with promoters, DJs, and talent. Assist in executing themed nights, holiday events, and marketing campaigns.
  • Financial Integrity: Manage cash handling procedures, perform "Z-outs" at the end of the night, and monitor liquor inventory to minimize "shrinkage" or waste.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Willing to train. Management experience a plus in a high-volume nightclub, lounge, or busy bar.
  • Certifications: Willing to help obtain. Valid [State-specific, e.g., TIPS] Alcohol Server Training.
  • Knowledge: Willing to learn mixology, premium spirits, and bottle service etiquette.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Clover) and reservation platforms (e.g., SevenRooms, Tablelist).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, work in loud environments with flashing lights, and lift up to 50 lbs (kegs/cases).
