The Town of Orange, Virginia is accepting applications for a full-time Economic Development Manager in the Town Manager’s Office. This position performs complex professional work supporting the Town’s economic development efforts to attract industry, create better-paying jobs, and broaden the tax base.
Key Responsibilities
The Economic Development Manager will:
· Assist with marketing the Town and supporting business recruitment efforts
· Review, analyze, and respond to business prospect inquiries in a prompt and professional manner
· Work closely with the Town’s Industrial Development Authority (IDA) and other partner organizations
· Prepare and write grant applications to support economic development initiatives
· Conduct regular visits with existing businesses to support retention and expansion
