Buyer

The Buyer position duties will involve the placing of service and indirect material purchase orders and following up with suppliers on delivery dates. Requesting product and service information, pricing, and following up with suppliers on delivery dates. Requesting product and service information, pricing, detail-oriented and highly organized with proven ability to manage priorities, exercise good judgement and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain best possible price and lead-time for materials without sacrificing quality.
• Perform necessary purchasing activities (ie PO's) in accordance with TSI quality and AS9100 (aerospace) requirements.
• Expedite outside requirements accordingly to support manufacturing and other areas of the organization.
• Work with accounting and vendors to clear 3-way match issues.
• Source new suppliers and set up new suppliers in ERP system.
• Engaging in strategic buying for maintenance, and other areas focusing on proactive procurement rather than reactive order placements.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products and services.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years related work experience a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Familiarity with order management
• Experience supporting a fast-paced environment

• Standard business hours, with occasional overtime during peak sales periods

• Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and office equipment
• Occasional lifting of office materials or files (up to 15 lbs)
