Pre-Press/Page Output Designer

Lay out the daily and weekend newspapers. 

Check for errors, missing ads, ad formats, and communicate with proper personnel to have errors corrected before releasing to print.

Generate our classified pages to send to press room for printing. 

Generate our Entertainment Guide and track that all ads are good for publication. 

Design promotional flyers and covers for special projects.

Handle walk in customers that come in from time to time for In memoriums

Upload and verify all online advertising through Google Ad Manager.

Troubleshoot any issues that may cause pages to not properly print. 

Work closely with the editorial department to ensure that all ads are loaded and ready for publication. 

Work in cooperation with other departments. 

Assist the advertising director on all projects and work flows for the advertising department. 

Other duties as assigned. 

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Must be able to work independently and be  able to organize your work to get it accomplished each day.
