CITY OF MENTOR RECREATION SPECIALIST I Part-time Head Lifeguard(s) The City of Mentor is looking to fill two part-time Head Lifeguard openings at the Mentor Community Recreation Center. We are in need of a morning opener and a mid-day/evening individual. Please specify which shift you are applying for on your application. Responsibilities of the Recreation Specialist I Head Lifeguard position will include maintaining the pool area daily, ability to enforce policies and procedures of the pool area and provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all users. Minimum qualifications will include previous lifeguarding experience, excellent communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, along with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must have a current Lifeguard Certification, CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications. Position requires up to 28 hours of work per week. Starting rate of pay is $15-$16 per hour (based on shift). A valid drivers license and graduation from high school/GED is required.
