Job Description:

 

The head coach is responsible for the operation and management of all aspects of a Division I men's & women's tennis program. Areas of responsibility include practice and competition preparation, recruitment of student-athletes, student-athlete development, NCAA compliance, and external relations as it relates to the sport.

  • Plan and conduct in-season and out-of-season practice and coach at home and away contests
  • Identify, evaluate and recruit prospective student-athletes
  • Schedule conference and non-conference opponents
  • Manage operating budget for equipment and uniforms, team travel, recruiting, and other program needs

 

Requirements:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the techniques and fundamentals of the sport

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • At least one (1) year of collegiate coaching and/or playing experience

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid New York State driver's license at the time of appointment
  • Must meet and maintain insurability requirements throughout employment

 

 

Additional Information:

 

Salary: $33,690
Schedule: Part-time (January-May; September-October)
