POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE Custodian
Location: Belleville Area Special Services Cooperative
Qualifications Required: Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent Knowledge of various maintenance-related tools and equipment
Experience in a maintenance-related field or trade preferred
Must be highly dependable with regard to regular work attendance and punctual arrival
Personal fitness sufficient to participate in the safe lifting and moving of various job-related equipment
Exerting 20 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, frequently, or constantly, is required
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Director, in his/her sole and exclusive role, may find acceptable and appropriate.
Terms of Employment: Full Time/12 Month Position working a mixed day/evening shift, most likely 9 - 5 or 10 - 6 most of the year.
Salary: To be determined based on experience and qualifications

o Employee and family coverage costs the employee $177.50 per month.
o 1st year of employment - 10 sick and 1 personal leave days o 2nd year of employment - 11 sick and 2 personal leave days o 3rd year of employment - 14 sick and 3 personal leave days o 18th– 25th year of employment – 16 sick and 3 personal leave days
o 26th year and thereafter – 20 sick and 3 personal leave days • District paid pension (IMRF) contribution in addition to salary • Work mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate
