Job Description:

 

Position Summary, Test and Measurement (Electro-optic Test) Co-op

This co-op position is based in Rochester, NY and is responsible for performing electro-optic measurements on photonic chips.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and learn testing procedures for various electro-optic measurements
  • Develop test setups and perform measurements for internal and external projects
  • Develop automation scripts to improve measurement efficiency
  • Develop scripts and tools for analyzing data, extracting parameters, and conclusions
  • Document best working practices and present results to stakeholders

 

Requirements:

 

Minimum Qualifications, Test and Measurement (Electro-optic Test) Co-op

  • Masters or PhD student in Electrical Engineering or Physics with academic focus in Photonics/Optics
  • Understanding of concepts in electronics, photonics
  • Understanding of test and measurement techniques for electrical and photonics measurements
  • 1-year laboratory experience working with test setups and measurements
  • Experience coding and scripting in Python
