Job Summary
TruNorth is seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Technician to join our team in the restoration industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various restoration services, including fire restoration, water damage restoration, and mold remediation. As a Lead Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing projects, ensuring quality work, and leading a team of technicians to restore properties to their original condition.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Perform hands-on tasks including fire restoration, water damage restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various restoration tasks.
- Train and mentor junior technicians in best practices for carpet cleaning and other restoration techniques.
- Conduct assessments of damaged properties to determine the scope of work required for restoration.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used on each project.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain the restoration process and address any concerns.
Experience
- Proven experience in the restoration industry with a focus on fire restoration, water damage restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to restoration tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $20-$30/hour

Supplemental Pay:

Willingness to travel:
- 40% (within NC, potential for storm chasing) (Preferred)
