Job Description

Security BOROUGH OF FRACKVILLE IS SEEKING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER Forms required to be completed in order to apply for the position of full-time police officer are available at the Borough Office, 42 South Center Street, Frackville, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Additional information may be obtained from the Boroughs website www.frackvillepa.org. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, possess a Diploma from an accredited high school or Graduate Equivalency Diploma, and reside within 30 miles of the Borough. Successful completion of Act 120 training and certification by the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission is required. In addition, every applicant must be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer and possess a valid motor vehicle operators license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Experience will be considered in salary discussions. COMPLETED APPLICATIONS MUST BE DELIVERED TO THE BOROUGH OFFICE BY 4:00 P.M. ON FRIDAY, MAY 8, 2026, IN A SEALED ENVELOPE ADDRESSED TO BRENDA DEETER, SECRETARY. A written examination will be held at a time to be determined, in the Frackville Borough Office, 42 South Center Street, Frackville, PA, 17931. Other mandatory components of the test are an oral examination, a physical fitness test, a medical examination, background exam, and a psychological examination, all of which will be scheduled at a later date.
