Position Overview:

Sun Diego Charter is currently seeking a full-time Safety and Compliance Training Supervisor responsible for ensuring designated employees receive proper training in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal programs. This role plays a key part in maintaining and reinforcing Sun Diego Charter’s high standards for safety, compliance, and operational excellence across the organization

Position Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of all compliance documentation required by local, state, and federal agencies
• Audit and reconcile all required documentation, such as: Driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIR), Driver hour of service logs from electronic logging devices, and vehicle gateways/tracking devices.
• Review completion, compliance, accuracy of documentation collected, and work closely with drivers to make corrections as needed
• Cross-examine logs with GPS records
• When needed, assist in running safety reports for the purpose of tracking trends relevant to existing and ongoing safety and compliance standards
• Assist when needed to help keep safety and compliance folders and files organized and up to date
• Enroll new driver hires in required programs such as Samba, Drug & Alcohol, Samsara, and A-Suite
• Coordinate, facilitate, and assist with record inspections for any CHP terminal inspections, DOT and/or DOD inspections
• Interface with regulatory agencies to formulate corrective actions
• Conduct documented training with the driver workforce who fail to comply with company policies and practices as it pertains to proper completion of all regulatory documentation and safety practices
• Work in conjunction with the Safety and Operations department on accident/incident investigations
• Perform duties and other functions that help streamline the daily business operations of the Company’s safety operations.

Requirements:

• Clean Driving Record
• Valid Class C Driver’s License Required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English
• Able and willing to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Must be able to work weekends as needed
• Work hours will vary

Salary Rate:

• The hourly range that Sun Diego Charter expects to pay for the position is $25.00-$30.00 an hour.
