​Imperial Utilities & Sustainability, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Energy Broker to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess an existing book of business, demonstrate exceptional skills in acquiring new clients, and have the ability to hit the ground running by bringing innovative ideas to the table. In this role, you will facilitate energy transactions, including electricity and natural gas, for commercial clients. This position involves building and maintaining professional relationships, analyzing market trends, and providing clients with tailored energy solutions that promote efficiency and sustainability.


Duties

  • Facilitate Energy Transactions: Act as an intermediary in the purchase and sale of energy products, including electricity and natural gas, for commercial and residential clients, ensuring optimal terms and compliance with regulatory standards. ​
  • Proactive Client Outreach: Initiate contact with potential clients through strategic cold and warm calling techniques to expand the customer base and introduce the company's energy solutions.
  • Product and Service Education: Clearly articulate and provide detailed information about the suite of products and services offered by Imperial Utilities & Sustainability, Inc., tailoring presentations to meet specific client needs.
  • Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities by analyzing market trends and client requirements, thereby contributing to the company's growth objectives. ​
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly, and fostering client loyalty. ​
  • Data Analysis and Pricing: Collect, analyze, and interpret energy consumption data and market information to develop accurate pricing models and deliver cost-effective energy solutions to clients. ​
  • Industry Knowledge Application: Maintain a thorough understanding of industry terminology, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to effectively address client inquiries and provide informed recommendations. ​
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver customized quotes and comprehensive proposals to current and prospective clients, highlighting the benefits and value of proposed energy solutions. ​
  • Market Awareness: Stay abreast of evolving market conditions, regulatory developments, and emerging trends to provide clients with timely and relevant information that may impact their energy decisions.
  • Networking and Professional Development: Actively participate in industry associations and attend networking events to expand professional contacts, explore opportunities in new markets, and represent the company at special events to enhance brand visibility and business growth. ​

Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to meeting the dynamic needs of the company and its clients.


Education & Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy Management, or a related field.
  • Equivalent experience (approximately 5 years) in energy brokerage or a related industry may be considered.
  • Possession of an Energy Brokerage License is preferred.
