Mechanical Project Designer I

Mechanical Project Designer 1 for IMEG Consultants Corp to work at our Ontario, CA loc. May work remotely a portion of each week, after initial period of fully in-person work. Engineering analysis, design, & implementation oversight of mechanical systems for vertical building industry. Train. Mentor. Lead design efforts (as Project Manager or lead engineer for low to moderate complexity projects) for analysis of HVAC, plumbing, & fire protection systems. Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach w/ hands or arms, & grasp or pull. Limited exposure to outside weather conditions & loud noises. Little travel may be involved within CA to visit clients/job sites. Travel not to exceed 60 days/year; length of a single trip not to exceed 5 days. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act. Wage: $126,610 - $126,610. Must have Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or rel field; 3 yrs relevant exp in building design consulting industry; and required skills. Alternatively, must have Associate's degree in Building Information Modeling (BIM), Engineering, or rel field; 7 yrs relevant exp in building design consulting or construction industry; and required skills. Alternatively, must have Certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM), Engineering, or rel field; 7 yrs relevant exp in building design consulting or construction industry; and required skills. Requires skills (3 yrs exp) in: design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in production of technical plans and specifications; principles in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems; standard engineering software and tools including HVAC load calculation software and BIM software; MS Office Suite incl Excel and Outlook.
