Technical Education Teacher

Oil and Gas Industry Experience Required

The Bradford Area School District anticipates an opening for a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher with oil and gas industry experience for the 2026-2027 school year.

Candidates must possess hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry, including but not limited to: gauging tanks, reading gas meters, pumping wells, maintaining pump jacks, separators, tanks, gas, and water systems. Experience with rig setup, teardown, relocation, drill floor operations, and general equipment maintenance is required. A working knowledge of welding, diesel equipment operation and maintenance, basic petroleum geology, and hydraulic fracturing is also necessary.

Applicants must have a minimum of four (4) years of direct industry experience. Candidates who do not currently hold a teaching certification must be willing to enroll in a Pennsylvania Department of Education-approved Career and Technical Teacher Education program to obtain appropriate certification. This requirement may be fulfilled concurrently with employment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, administrators, and the community in a high-stress environment.
