Machinist

The Carlson Company is a well-established and reliable manufacturer in Wichita, Kansas. We currently have immediate openings for full-time Machinists. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals who can work independently and are eager to contribute to our continued success. We are willing to train the right candidates!

Core Responsibilities:

Machine Operation: Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth/angle of cut.

Technical Interpretation: Read and understand engineering drawings and production routings.

Efficiency: Meet and exceed job time requirements while maintaining high-quality standards.

Precision: Use precision instruments, gauges, and tools to ensure accuracy; apply basic math and problem-solving skills to daily tasks.

Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety directives, including the use of eye/ear protection and steel-toed shoes.

Requirements

Physical Ability: Must be able to lift over 25 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in an industrial environment.

Skills: Strong attention to detail and a reliable work ethic.

If you don't mind getting your hands dirty, this is the place for you. You’ll be working directly with raw materials, meaning oil, dust, and metal chips are just part of a productive day’s work

Work Schedule & Benefits

Shift: Full-time, daytime hours. We close at 4:30 PM daily.

Overtime: Opportunities for overtime may be available.

Insurance: Company-paid Health Insurance (for the employee).

Basic Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a drug screen.
