Teacher Aide

TEACHER AIDES

Menands school is looking to fill current openings for teacher aides.

Instructional aide duties may include:

• Assisting teachers with classroom management and instructional activities
• Providing individual or small group support to students with special needs
• Assisting with personal care and hygiene needs
• Assisting with challenging student behavior and monitoring progress
• Collaborating with teachers and other professionals
• Assisting with classroom set up and organization
• Helping students with communication, mobility and daily living skills
• Maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment for students

Preference will be given to candidates with experience and a strong desire for working with children with

Autism or other developmental disabilities with intense management needs.

Starting Salary is $17.00 per hour

Schedule follows the school calendar.  Hours are 8-3p.m.
