Product Engineer – Oklahoma City, OK

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Product Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team supporting the design, development, and lifecycle management of mechanical and electromechanical products. This role involves direct interaction with sales, customer service, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to provide technical clarification, material recommendations, and valve selection for various media applications.
- Size valves and create data sheets in accordance with API 520 and ANSI/ISA S75.01 flow calculation standards.
- Prepare cut sheet presentations, including assembly drawings, dimensions, bills of material, and application-specific technical data.
- Perform Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and create accurate Bills of Material using an ERP/MRP system.
- Support sustaining engineering initiatives, troubleshooting, product design updates, and manufacturing activities.
- Execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for dimensional, material, and design modifications.
- Provide engineering support for assembly, supply chain, and quality control teams, including component prints and material specs.
- Develop and maintain part numbering systems, nomenclature, and build/test procedures.
- Deliver training for internal teams on assigned product lines.
- Contribute as a proactive, motivated member of a collaborative engineering group.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong application/design background in one or more of the following product categories:
Safety Relief Valves, Rupture/Buckling Pin Devices, Control/Dump Valves, Regulators, Chokes - Experience supporting products for oil & gas or refinery applications.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and MRP/ERP systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, with 2–4 years of related experience in upstream, midstream, or downstream O&G applications.
- Must reside in the Oklahoma City area — this is an onsite position.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with industry codes such as:
ASME Sec I–XII, API 520, ANSI/ISA S75.01, ASME B16.34/B16.47/B16.5, API 6A/6D/608, Q1/ISO, NACE MR0175 - Knowledge of metallurgy and/or welding.
