Assistant Director – Leet Center

Northwest Missouri State University

Responsible for daily operations of the Phyllis & Richard Leet Center, including staff scheduling, student supervision, budgeting, hiring, and coordination of licensing/accreditation. Oversees records, supplies, and customer service while supporting children, families, and staff. Assists with lunch program, student health needs, and training compliance.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Education required; Master’s preferred or in progress. Minimum of 1 year teaching experience. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Experience with budgeting and Microsoft Office preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: BSED/BA in Education and a Master’s degree or seeking a Master’s degree

Experience: At least one year of experience working as a successful certified teacher; Computer experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access; Experience in budgets, financial information, and spreadsheets

Skills: Leadership skills, accuracy in spelling, mathematics, and grammar; Good customer service skills; Good communication skills; Good organizational skills; Ability to multi-task; Ability to manage stress; Flexibility

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position will work in an office environment during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., in varying daily schedules.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Effectively supervise student employees and Leet Center materials and paperwork

EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS USED: Standard office equipment including phone, fax, copy machine, computer, scanners, typewriter

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
