Benchman / Mold Polisher

Job Summary
This role is primarily responsible for mold finishing, polishing, and general production support in a manufacturing environment.


Time Breakdown

  • 95% – Completing production and finishing tasks
  • 5% – Computer-based communication

  • Strong attention to detail and quality


Requirements

  • Available to work 40 hours per week
  • Mold finishing experience required
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Must have patience and a strong eye for quality

Work Authorization Requirement
This position requires access to technology subject to U.S. export control laws. Applicants must be U.S. persons (per 8 USC 1324b(a)(3)) or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available.


Skills

  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Familiarity with sanding equipment
  • Ability to operate forklifts
  • Knowledge of finishing techniques for plastics, aluminum, and steel
  • Basic math skills (fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions)


Responsibilities

  • Polish molds (plastic and aluminum)
  • Sand and apply sealer to polymer molds
  • Prepare sanding supplies for upcoming jobs
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Assist with cleaning and trash removal
  • Help move and set up parts as needed
  • Perform local pickups and deliveries
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 65 lbs
  • Ability to stand, sit, and bend for extended periods


Work Environment

  • Manufacturing setting with loud noise levels
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles
  • Required use of PPE including steel-toed boots and safety glasses
