Elementary Principal

The Oswego City School District is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Elementary School Principal to provide instructional leadership to students, staff and community members. He/she will lead innovative programs that result in attainment of the district’s vision, achievement of school and district goals and improve student performance.

• A Communicator who is capable of developing, articulating and implementing the Building’s and District’s goals and plans through written and oral presentations.
• A willingness to be Visible, Interactive, and Involved with staff, students and parents, and to collaborate, bringing the community together for the betterment of the school.
• Child-centered and an Advocate for learners and their needs.
• A Problem Solver who is skilled in identifying and analyzing problems, developing priorities and implementing practical solutions.
• Exhibits good judgment, is patient in dealing with others, and has shown evidence of stability and integrity under pressure.
• Has a genuine concern for adolescents as demonstrated by listening, being visible and known to them, and involved in their education and activities.
• A leadership style that is built upon trust, enthusiasm and compassion.
