**PAY INCREASE AFTER 90-DAY PROBATIONARY PERIOD**
A FORKLIFT OPERATOR IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION. FORKLIFT OPERATORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OPERATING A FORKLIFT WITH THE UTMOST CARE TO ENSURE MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Unload pallets/material from incoming trucks and store them in assigned places
• Locate and move stock to pallets for storage or shipment on outgoing trucks
• Keep updated and accurate records of inventory using technology such as SAP and barcode scanners
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by ordering/performing regular maintenance
• Keep accurate record of maintenance performed
• Comply with all company safety policies
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath
• Use muscles for extended periods without getting tired
• Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position
• Make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists
• Bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb stairs
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience as a forklift operator
• Attention to detail and familiarity with powered industrial equipment
• Good physical condition and coordination
• High school diploma
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Valid certification to operate forklifts
