Electronics Technician I (ETI)

Troubleshoot & Repair Electronic Systems

• Diagnose and repair AC/DC circuits, relay logic, SCADA systems, PLCs, and HMI systems
• Run diagnostic tests and identify root causes of system failures
• Repair or replace components including circuit boards, motors, and system assemblies
• Order parts and ensure timely system restoration

Install & Commission New Equipment

• Install and configure electronic systems according to blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Perform system startup, calibration, and validation testing
• Identify potential issues before final deployment

Software & System Support

• Update system software and firmware
• Conduct validation testing and document all upgrades and changes

Preventative Maintenance

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
• Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance schedules

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily logs and detailed trip reports
• Track repairs, parts usage, and troubleshooting steps
• Assist with updating equipment manuals and managing parts inventory

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces) for extended periods
• Able to perform effectively in high-stress environments, including correctional facilities
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and meet security clearance requirements
• Willingness to travel as required
