Join Our Growing National Law Practice


National law firm seeks a full-time Legal Assistant for our Washington Township (Long Valley) office. This is an in-office, hourly position providing direct support to supervising attorney.


Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5 years of experience as a legal assistant and should have handled cases in plaintiff's personal injury, medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, social security disability, or veterans’ benefits.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, along with the ability to work well with co-workers and

management, are required.

  • Applicants must be able to learn new material quickly, adapt to the fast-paced environment shaped by rapidly changing federal regulations, function effectively as a team member, take responsibility for their own duties, and report to both a supervising manager and attorney.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently and accurately are essential.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and outstanding communication skills when interacting with clients are crucial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro is required.


Responsibilities

  • Collect, examine, and organize legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and template legal documents.
  • Follow up diligently on client invoices and payments.
  • Manage, organize, and maintain documents using electronic software systems.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the legal team.
