Responsibilities
● Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans tailored to their specific goals and abilities.
● Supervise COTAs
● Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including discharge planning and case management.
● Provide therapy in various settings, including outpatient clinic, schools, and possible community sessions
● Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and occupational health to inform treatment approaches.
● Work with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to facilitate skill development.
● Implement early intervention strategies for pediatric patients to support their growth and development.
● Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
● Experience with pediatric clients or working with children in a previous job
● Familiarity with developmental milestones for fine motor, visual motor, and gross motor skills throughout childhood and adolescence.
● Proven ability to create effective care plans based on comprehensive assessments.
● Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients and their families.
● Previous clinic or school experience is beneficial for working with children and adolescents.
