Electronics Technician (BOM)

Ontrack Staffing is seeking a BOM Fix Technician for our client in Memphis, TN.

Shift is 7am-3:30pm, with mandatory overtime, when needed.

Pay Rate ranges from $20.00-$23.00hr.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve complex issues in a fast-paced production environment where no two failures are the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Review system test failures to determine whether the root cause is related to configuration or bill of material discrepancies
• Execute approved configuration and BOM updates within customer-required web portals and databases
• Partner with Engineering to ensure configuration changes align with technical requirements and process controls
• Validate that corrections enable successful progression through test and production workflows
• Accurately document actions taken, including failure type, correction applied, and verification results
• Identify recurring configuration issues and support Engineering with trend data and insights
• Follow established change control, data integrity, and access governance requirements
• Support audit readiness through consistent documentation and adherence to process standards

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or technical coursework preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering support, quality, or operations environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply judgment across varied scenarios
• Proficiency using web-based systems and databases for data review and updates
• High attention to detail and accuracy when working with part numbers, quantities, and system attributes
• Ability to clearly document work and communicate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting electronics manufacturing, refurbishment, or repair operations
• Familiarity with bill of material structures and configuration management concepts
• Experience working with customer or OEM systems in a production environment
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (filters, lookups, basic reporting)
