This position is located in Rohnert Park, CA.

The Human Resources Manager will work collaboratively with the Human Resources (HR) team in administering the routine functions of the department including, but not limited to, the entire employee life cycle, administering benefits and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assists in the management, planning and implementation of employee benefit programs, including but not limited to health insurance, life insurance, COBRA, FMLA and other programs.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
  • Assists with the administration of workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Required travel to various company work sites.

 

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (preferred but not required)
  • Five years of human resource management experience (preferred)
  • HR certification (desired but not required)
  • Knowledge of working with people with developmental disabilities a plus!

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS management systems

Must be willing to undergo Federal background check(s) (look back, up to 10 years), pre-employment physical and drug test (which includes medical marijuana) & have a clean driving record.
