POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of our human resources team, this position is the face of Diamond Hill with all job candidates, from first point of contact through new associate onboarding. In addition, this role will help drive firm wide initiatives related to recruitment, training and development, and health and wellness. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in the development and continuous enhancement of hiring processes and new associate onboarding. Consult with hiring managers to develop and execute recruitment strategy for open positions. Communicate with applicants on their status throughout the hiring process. Interview applicants using behavioral interview techniques. Coordinate job postings, interview schedules, and resume tracking. Lead pre and post interview meetings with interview teams; document discussions and deliver follow up. Coordinate new hire paperwork and perform new hire background investigations. Conduct new hire orientations and office tours with new associates. Identify and implement training and development opportunities for associates. Plan and execute internship program activities including need identification, candidate tracking, candidate communication, and educational session scheduling. Facilitate the annual review of job descriptions for all positions at the firm. Provide support to wellness and benefits related initiatives (ex. flu shots, health screens, etc.) Participate in the development and execution of associate recognition programs (employment anniversaries, etc.). Cross-train to support the team as needed. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILL SET: 5+ years of recruitment, human resources, or related experience. Experience with financial services and/or investment management business is strongly preferred. General knowledge of human resource processes, principles, concepts and best practices. Strong interpersonal skills and trusted with confidential information. Natural ability to communicate effectively with all levels of associates and management. Keen attention to detail, organizational skills, flexibility, and sense of urgency are a must. PC proficient in Windows environment (MS-Office suite), particularly Outlook and Excel. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required. Major in Human Resources, Business or related discipline is preferred. HR Certification a plus.
