Position: Packaging Inserter / Relief Driver (Night Shift)

Job Summary
APG Media of the Rockies is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our production team in Cheyenne, Wyoming, as Packaging Inserters for the night shift. This role is a critical part of the newspaper production process, responsible for ensuring all advertising inserts and printed materials are accurately assembled and prepared for on-time distribution. This position will also serve as a local relief driver as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently feed advertising inserts into packaging equipment
- Monitor machinery to ensure proper operation and make minor adjustments as needed
- Stack and organize bundled newspapers onto pallets or into carts for delivery
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all materials meet company standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet nightly production deadlines
- Assist with other production tasks as assigned
- Provide local delivery coverage as needed, ensuring timely completion of routes in both good and inclement weather
- Pick up and deliver newspapers and commercial publications from the Wyoming Tribune Eagle
- Safely operate company vehicles, including 26-foot box trucks equipped with liftgates
- Load and unload pallets using a pallet jack and liftgate
- Load and unload commercial publications by hand from vans and trucks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license (CDL not required)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift a minimum of 25–50 pounds
- Comfortable operating a 26-foot box truck and using a liftgate
- Ability to load and unload pallets and individual bundles of publications
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- DOT physical required
- No prior experience required; training will be provided
