Tube Bending Level 2 Technician

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for advanced machine set up and operation, advanced bending skills including single bends, mutli bends, and etc. Advanced tube inspecting skills: in process/final inspection, tube inspection equipment and advanced CMM operation, and etc. Lead by example and assist in training level I benders. Be able to read and work according to blue prints, work orders, verbal instructions and the various requirements set forth by TBT and its Quality Management System.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Advanced machine set up and operation: manual bending machines, CNC bending machines, use of wipers, capable of miscellaneous trouble shooting techniques and all other TBT equipment.
2. Advanced Bending Skills: single bend, multi bend, 1D, thin wall, and tight tolerance.
3. Advanced Tube inspection Skills: in process / final inspection / level II inspection, tube inspection equipment/methods, advanced CMM operation, and ability to complete various inspection reports. (SIDR, FAI, etc.)
4. Thoroughly understand blueprints, part configuration and all aspects of the router.
5. Maintain skills in project management.
6. Aid in developing project-related work instructions.
7. Meet goals and objectives in a timely manner.
8. Ability to work with limited supervision.
9. Must have leadership skills, lead by example, and help teach/train Level I benders.
10. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
11. Follow procedures and use common sense to maintain a safe working environment.
12. Arrive to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
13. Perform other tasks as assigned.

PERIPHERAL DUTIES

1. Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
2. Assist in formulating strategic plans.
3. Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Manufacturing environment: may be exposed to loud noises, unique smells, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts and other dangers associated with manufacturing (cutting, deburring, etc.). TBT has safety equipment and safety standards in place to help maintain a safe work environment.

WORKING HOURS

Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Overtime maybe required on an as needed basis.

EQUIPIMENT/MACHINERY USED

• Welding machines: TIG (AC/DC) and MIG welders.
• Bending machines: Hand benders, hydraulic benders and CNC benders.
• End forming machines: Flaring, double flaring, beading, facing, expanding and swedging machines.
• Machine shop equipment: Mill, Lathe and Drill Press.
• Cutting: Chop saw, abrasive wheel saw and cold saw.
• Deburring: Belt sander and countersink.
• Brazing: Oxy-Aceteline torches and induction brazing machines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lifting up to 50lbs regularly and 75lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity,and visual acuity.
