CLINICAL NURSE INSTRUCTOR

New Market Skills Center’s Professional Medical Careers program is seeking a compassionate, professional LPN or RN to provide clinical guidance and oversight to high school students working toward their Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC).
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Clinical Nurse Instructor will supervise a group of up to 10 students at one of our partnered long-term care clinical facilities. All students are required to complete 40 hours of clinical experience,and the instructor plays a crucial role in ensuring skill development, safety, and a supportive learning environment.
SCHEDULE & COMMITMENT:
- Timeframe: Late February through early April
- Hours: 7:30 AM – 1:40 PM, Monday through Friday
- Possible additional weekend hours
- Approximately one-month commitment
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Washington State LPN or RN license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to pass a Washington State background check
- 1 year of long-term care experience preferred
- Passion for supporting and mentoring young learners
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide supervision and guidance to students during clinical rotations
- Model professional nursing standards and safe patient care
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and program instructors
- Assess student skills and support their learning needs
- Uphold facility and program policies at all times
