We are looking for a technical problem solver Journeyman Electrician who will be responsible for the general operation, maintenance, and installation of water treatment plant equipment and systems in the Water Production department. T his includes pumps, valves, air compressors, chemical feeders, and other typical water treatment plant equipment and systems. Responsible for buildings, structures, plumbing, mechanical, and other support-related equipment. This role works alone and in teams. Technical Requirements: Working knowledge of all, but not limited to, the following: Maintenance and Installation of mechanical systems such as those found in the OUC water treatment plants. Hand tools and advanced maintenance skills. Ability to: Ability to work stand-by duty on a rotating basis. Ability to work in confined spaces such as underground vaults. Monitors and operates the water system using the SCADA System. Routinely works in the field collecting water quality samples, monitoring water quality, and investigating customer water quality inquiries. All activities are logged and reported to the system Supervisor. Must be able to work a rotational shift, including nights and weekends. Working knowledge of, but not limited to, the following: Water treatment. Proper sampling techniques and procedures. Water system operations. Water quality monitoring methods. Basic mechanical skills. Familiarity with the following: Florida Department of Environmental Protection Regulations.
