Job Description Marshall Electric is seeking a qualified and experienced Foodservice Equipment Technician to diagnose and repair a variety of commercial kitchen equipment in the field. The service territory includes Rhode Island and surrounding Massachusetts and Connecticut areas. Note: Wage depends upon experience. Job qualifications include: Minimum of 6 years of experience repairing foodservice equipment or other commercial equipment powered by electricity, natural or LP gas, steam, and microwave Strong command of electrical principals; able to read and comprehend wiring diagrams Excellent mechanical skills Maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance eligibility High School Diploma or GED equivalency Trade school diploma is a plus but not required Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Legal Alien Ownership of basic hand tools including screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, hammer, pliers, wire cutter, crimper Able to lift objects up to 50 lb. independently Responsibilities include : Diagnose kitchen equipment failures and repair it according to factory specifications Perform routine preventative maintenance Complete job tickets in detail Communicate key information to Service Dispatch and Parts Department Provide 24/7 on-call service in a rotation with fellow service technicians Keep a service van in good operating condition by informing management of any mechanical problems, regular maintenance, and doing routine exterior washes and interior cleaning/vacuuming Must be willing to study to become CFESA Certified in Electric, Gas, and Steam Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures Personal qualifications and expectations include: A passion for the job, and generally like to come to work each day Being professional, friendly, and courteous when dealing with customers and fellow employees A positive attitude Being punctual Being honest and trustworthy Having good command of the English language Legible hand writing Being neat and organized Following directions Using good judgement Ask questions and be willing to learn Summary of Benefits: 6 paid holidays Limited paid vacation, paid sick days/personal days* 401(k)* Medical & dental insurance* Health Reimbursement Account* Flexible Spending Account* Life insurance* Long term disability insurance* Company uniforms Direct deposit Use of cell phone * Note: requires a waiting period Company Description Marshall Electric Food Equipment Service is an authorized service agent for many manufacturers of commercial kitchen equipment.
