Shippensburg University is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the operation, development, and maintenance of Mechanical and Civil Engineering laboratories. This position is responsible for laboratory setup, equipment procurement and installation, equipment operation and maintenance, safety procedures, and instructional support.
Key responsibilities include setting up, operating, maintaining, and repairing laboratory equipment; developing and implementing laboratory safety procedures; scheduling and conducting laboratory sessions; assisting students with course assignments; supporting student projects, research activities, and engineering competitions; and collaborating with faculty and department administration on laboratory and instructional needs. The position also participates in student recruitment activities by showcasing laboratory facilities and hands-on learning opportunities.
