CWA - Central New York's Water Authority is currently seeking candidates for a Water Systems Construction Engineer II to join the Engineering department. The work involves responsibility for applying engineering principles in the design and construction of watermains, pump stations, storage tanks, water systems and their appurtenances. Under the general supervision of an Administrative Superior, an employee in this class acts as a project manager for major and complex projects, tracks financial status/progress of projects assigned, oversees specification writing, materials estimates, inspection, budgeting, and cost projections. Work is reviewed by spot checks of studies or fieldwork. An employee in this class receives assignments in the form of project proposals and then self-performs the work or delegates specific tasks to appropriate personnel under his or her general or direct supervision.
