Description A journey level Mechanic performs quality maintenance, preventative maintenance, diagnosis, disassembly, inspections, rebuilds, and reassembly to diesel, electrical, hydraulic and air operated components and equipment such as engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generation, electrical codes, etc. all related to mining equipment such as Jumbo drills, haul trucks, bolters, loaders, dozers, etc. This work includes mobile equipment, hoist, compressors, drills and miscellaneous equipment of a similar nature.
Responsibilities 1. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions by utilizing service manuals, parts books, electrical, and hydraulic manuals. 2. Performs preventative maintenance, general/major maintenance and repairs, diagnostics, inspection, disassembly/assembly according to requirements in shop Work Orders. 3.
