The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the positions of Public Health Nurse and Public Health Nurse Intern in the Health and Human Services Department. The incumbent will provide the full range of public health nursing services including teaching, health assessment, and counseling services in homes, clinics, schools and community centers in connection with the prevention and control of diseases and adverse health conditions; performs related work as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate:
Licensed Public Health Nurse with strong clinical assessment and health education skills.
Experienced in providing preventive and community-based nursing services across diverse settings.
Skilled in health assessment, care coordination, health education, and disease prevention across the lifespan.
Effective communicator with the ability to educate individuals, families, and community groups.
