The Sonographer will be able to perform those procedures, acts and processes permitted by State and Federal law for which the individual has received education and clinical experience, has demonstrated competency and has completed the appropriate American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification(s) which is the standard of practice in ultrasound. He/she will be responsible for the following: Diagnose various ob-gyn conditions and for performing communicate results of diagnostic examinations via sonography Examinations will range from routine ob-gyn to high-risk obstetric scans and may include the following (nuchal translucency, fetal echos, fetal anatomy survey, Doppler studies, biophysical profile and endovaginal scans.
