DEFINITION:
Under general direction, performs semi-skilled and manual labor associated with the operation, construction, installation, replacement, cleaning, maintenance, and/or repair of the City’s water, sewer collection and storm drain systems.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
Water Utility Worker I : The entry level class in which employees perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the construction, maintenance and operation of the City’s water distribution, sewer collections and storm drain system infrastructures. Incumbents are generally hired at the Water Utility Worker I level and promoted to level II upon demonstrating competency and regularly performing the full range of duties within the division.
