The Department of Chemistry at the University of South Alabama (USA) invites applications for two full-time, non-tenure-track instructional positions to begin August 15, 2026. The successful candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or a closely-related discipline (for consideration for the rank of Instructor) or Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely-related discipline (for consideration for the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction). Proficiency in spoken and written English is required. One position will be a 9-month Assistant Professor of Instruction. The second position will be either a 9-month Assistant Professor of Instruction or a 9- or 12-month Instructor. Expectations for these positions include teaching, service, and student advising, with pedagogical development and/or disciplinary research expected for Assistant Professors of Instruction.
