Reporting to the Associate Director, Campus Recreation & Student Facilities, the Assistant Director is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the Burns Recreation Aquatic Center. Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities 1. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate 50+ student staff Managers, Lifeguards and Swim Instructors. 2. Oversee development of monthly in-service training for all aquatic staff, and maintain current Red Cross certifications for all Aquatics employees. 3. Certify LMU staff in lifeguarding, CPR, AED, Water Safety Instructor, and First Aid. 4. Develop, supervise, and evaluate comprehensive aquatic programming to include health and safety programs, lifeguard training and swim lessons. 5.
