The Village of Scotia is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Part-Time Code Enforcement Officer/Building Inspector.
Position Details
Part-time hourly position Up to 20 hours per week $32.00 per hour No benefits Duties & Responsibilities
Under general supervision, the successful candidate will administer and enforce the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, as well as applicable local fire and building codes. Responsibilities include:
Reviewing construction plans Issuing building permits Performing site inspections Ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards Enforcing applicable zoning, building, and fire prevention regulations Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Candidates should possess:
Thorough knowledge of building construction practices, principles, materials, and tools Knowledge of building trades and fire prevention...
